GROWTH OF SEARCH RESULTS
This Case study shows the growth of search results in the past 5 months i.e from 8 Sep 2022 to 31 Jan 2023.
Initially, When we started in sep 2022 we have,
- Clicks: 46;
- Impressions: 5.14K;
- Average CTR: 0.9%;
- Average position: 42.7.
In this I did a set up a new site on a 7-year-old domain that was never used for anything good. Wrote few articles based on keyword research and “forced” Google to crawl them. Then, I noticed my mistakes or improvements opportunities.
Then for the month of October 2022, we have,
- Clicks: 516 (+1021%);
- Impressions: 28.5K (+454%);
- Average CTR: 1.8% (+100%);
- Average position: 25.5 (+67%).
Here, I used a few high- quality backlinks. Then, I used an attractive image that makes people want to click.
Then for the month of November 2022, we have,
- Clicks: 2.4K (+365%)
- Impressions: 45.8K (+60%)
- Average CTR: 5.2% (+420%)
- Average position: 29.3 (-13%)
For this month, my strategy was almost the same. I just wrote more articles and tried to acquire new backlinks. What I changed is the way of writing titles.
Then for the month of December 2022, we have,
- Clicks: 4.18K (+74%)
- Impressions: 123K (+173%)
- Average CTR: 3.4% (-52%)
- Average position: 21.1 (+38%)
Here, My focus was on monitoring my rankings, writing new content and improving existing articles
Then for the month of January 2023, we have,
- Clicks: 7.02K (+68%)
- Impressions: 265K (+115%)
- Average CTR: 2.6% (-31%)
- Average position: 19.7 (+7.1%)
Here I keep naturally acquiring backlinks, but they were very low quality this month.
Then for the month of February 2023, we have,
- Clicks: 13.6K (94+%)
- Impressions: 446K (+66%)
- Average CTR: 3% (+15%)
- Average position: 17.7 (+11%)
This is the month where I can see the great changes of growth.
